Johan Christian Jansson

Johan Christian Jansson, born 1845, dead 1899, was a Swedish scene decorator. He was the father of Thorolf Jansson.
Jansson studied at Konstakademin for Emil Roberg and Fritz Ahlgrensson. He was employed at the Royal Theatre in 1866 and made imaginative decorations for operas like Aida, Lakmé and Othello. Johan Christian Jansson is represented at museums like Scenkonstmuseet (Scene Decoration Museum) in Stockholm.
